Gap = 2.25 ± .25mm
3. Remove flange (C) and used OPC drum.
4. Remove BCR assembly securing clip (D), contact plate (E) and actuator (F).
5. Remove BCR assembly (G), BCR (H), and used drum cleaning blade (I).
Clean the charge roller with charge roller cleaning wipe, or with clean deionized
water and white Chicopee Chix Soft Cloth. Remove old toner recovery seal (J).
Reassembly
6. Apply grease to toner recovery paddle bushing (K).
7. Apply new toner recovery seal. NOTE: Ensure there are
no bends in newly applied toner recovery seal.
8. Place new drum cleaning blade (DCB) onto cartridge and measure gap between
DCB and toner recovery seal.
IMPORTANT: Gap must measure 2.25 ± .25mm.
9. With proper gap set between DCB and toner recovery seal, apply Kynar to
contact edge of drum cleaning blade and secure DCB to cartridge.
10. Reinstall the cleaned BCR (H) and BCR assembly (G).
11. Reinstall contact plate (F), actuator (E), and securing clip (D).
12. Apply Kynar lightly to new OPC drum. Install OPC drum, securing it onto cartridge
with flange (C). Rotate flange clockwise to lock flange into position and manually
rotate OPC Drum clockwise. Wipe excess Kynar from BCR (H). CAUTION: Do Not
Touch OPC Drum Surface.
13. Reinstall toner sump cover (B), handle/cover (A) and E-Prom Copy Counter Chip
(where applicable).
NOTE: All Katun Canon 6012 Non-chip & 7130 DU/Cs are set to
Primary = 8 IP_OFST = 50
