SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Observe all safety and accident
prevention regulations in the la-
boratory!
The motor works without sparks.
Nevertheless, the manufacturer
cannot guarantee that the
appliance is explosion-safe.
Wear safety goggles and suitable
working clothes when working
with the shaker.
Repairs must be carried out only
by technicians authorized.
Extreme care is called for when
handling toxic or other hazardous
substances.
To prevent the shaker sliding off
the table top as a result of the
vibrations generated during
operation, make sure the feet are
securely attached to the table top.
A. SETTING UP
1. Setting up the appliance
Set up the test tube shaker on a smooth
and solid table top. The weight of theap-
pliance and the 4 parabolically shaped
rubber feet make for stability.
The feet can adhere securely to the
table top only if both the feet and the
surface to which they are to be attached
are clean. If necessary, clean the feet
with a damp cloth and ethanol.
2. Electrical connection (Figure 1, 2)
Before connecting the appliance into
themains, make sure that the mains
voltagematches that required on the
type plate.
Plug the shaker into the mains using the
mains lead. The plug for the mains lead
is at the rear of the appliance.
3. Assembly and accessories
3.1. Tray, small (accessory
23.07.06.05.01) and tray, large
(accessory 549.19000.00)
(Figures 1, 2, 4)
The tray (9) is simply clipped onto and
pulled off the appliance by hand. When
clipping on the tray, make sure the slot
in the coupling area of the tray is in line
with the lug on the eccentric of the ap-
pliance.

the ON/OFF switch (1) is switched
off (in the “0” position).
the speed setting knob (2) is
turned to the left as far as it will go.
