5 When the setting procedure is complete, set the programming slide control back to

its standby position (switch in (white) position, see Fig. 1B, page 13).

9.2) Setting the CALL MODE

9.2A) SIMPLEBUS - STANDARD call mode (default).

In this operating mode, the door-entry phone user is identified by a User Name field and
a Code field no longer than 3 digits (between 1 and 240).

EXAMPLE: User name = Smith; Code = 1
The call can be made in the following ways:
1) Select the user Smith using the

, keys and press the

key; transmit the

call to the user identified with the code 1.

2) From the keypad, enter the code 1 press the

key.

9.2B) SIMPLEBUS TOP - STANDARD call mode
In this operating mode, the door-entry phone user is identified by the User Name field
(optional) and a Code field consisting of two parts: zone field with no more than 3 digits
(between 1 and 500) and a user field which must have 3 digits (between 1 and 240).
EXAMPLE: User name = Smith; Code = 25 015;
The call can take place in the following ways:

9.2C) INDIRECT CODE call mode (for SIMPLEBUS and SIMPLEBUS TOP)
In this operating mode, the door-entry phone user is identified by the Indirect code
(max. 6 digits)
and User Name (optional) fields, and by a Code field which is different
for Simplebus (see 9.2A) and Simplebus Top (see point 9.2B).
EXAMPLE: User name = Smith; Code = 1 (for Simplebus); Indirect code = 100
EXAMPLE: User name = Smith; Code = 25 015 (for Simplebus Top); Indirect code = 100

The call can take place in the following ways:
1) Select the user Smith using the

, keys and press the

key; transmit the call

to the user identified with the code xxx (e.g. 1 for Simplebus or 25 015 for Simplebus
Top).

2) From the keypad, enter the Indirect code 100 and press the

key; transmit the call

to the user identified with the code xxx (e.g. 1 for Simplebus or 25 015 for Simplebus
Top).

The list with the listed fields can only be entered using the software Art. 1249/A.
The User Name field can be omitted (see Indirect Code Mode without name field in the
online Guide Art. 1249/A).
To update a module where a list has already been stored, it is first necessary to
completely delete the existing one, following the procedure in paragraph 8I of FT SB 08,
page 26.

9.3) ALPHANUMERIC call mode
The Alphanumeric call mode is indirect, but can be used with indirect codes which
include letters as well as numbers. The code must always start with a digit, but this can
be followed by letters or other digits, up to a maximum of 6 characters (e.g. 19a, 19b,
19c,...).
