General Information
1.1 Introduction
The C.B.S. Scientific Double and Triple Wide Mini-Vertical Gel systems are available in four
models: the Dual units, Cat# MGV-202-20 (20cm(w) x 10cm(l), Cat. # MGV-202-33 (33cm (w) x
10cm (h)) and Cat.# MGV-216-33 (33cm(w) x 16cm(l))and the Single unit, Cat. # MGV-102-33
(33cm (w) x 10cm (l)). All are designed for rapid, high throughput screening by SDS- PAGE, 2-D
gel, short path length sequencing or agarose gel separations. In addition, non-radioactive
labeling with fluorescent probes in conjunction with phosphorimaging and fluorimaging systems
can be facilitated by the use of optional low-fluorescent glass plate sets. An internal cooling
chamber for precise temperature control is standard with the Dual units. The unique short path-
length design with extra-wide sample load area provides savings by using less expensive
reagents while allowing rapid screen analysis of the gels ensures lower amounts of expensive
reagents and rapid analysis.
Gel casting can be facilitated by using our convenient and unique Gel Wrap
™, or by conventional
pouring methods.
