8 System management
8.1 Administrator functions
The software of the Mastercycler pro differentiates between standard users and the administrator.
The access rights are distinguished as follows:
The PIN setting can be used to define whether all users have to log in with their user names and PINs before
using Mastercycler pro or whether all users should receive administrator rights (without entering their user
names and PINs).
8.2 Managing user accounts
8.2.1 Creating user accounts
You can set up a separate user account for each user:
1. In the navigation tree, mark the Eppendorf node at the very top.
2. Press the NewUser function key.
The New User window is displayed.
