The antivibration pads are positioned under the respective microscope foot.
Selection and positioning of the microscope antivibration pad:
– Determine the weight of the microscope structure individually for all microscope feet.
– Select the antivibration pads on the basis of the distance of the front or rear microscope
feet and the respective weight.
Example from Figure 1:
Front: two feet with a total weight of approx. 9 kg: Use of a "M" antivibration pad.
Rear: Approx. 11 kg per foot: Use of a "L" antivibration pad for each foot:
– Lift the microscope in accordance with the manufacturer instructions for the microscope
and the guidelines for the lifting of heavy loads.
– Position the respective antivibration pad centered below the foot of the microscope and
carefully lower the microscope.
– Check: the antivibration pad should be pressed approx. 1.5 – 2 mm together. The gap of the
antivibration pad must be the same all around. The two shells of the antivibration pad must
lie on top of one another and may not be pushed to the side.
