5. Hold the engine/emergency power switch in the
emergency power position.
6. Hold the appropriate function toggle switch in the
desired direction.
Electric Emergency Bleed Down System
The main boom can be lowered in an emergency us-
ing the electric emergency bleed down system. The
electric emergency bleed down switches are located on
both the upper controls and on the junction box located
on the left side of the machine. Use this method if the
engine will not start and the emergency power system
will not work.
Use the following procedure to lower the boom using
the electric emergency bleed down system. This proce-
dure can be used from the upper or lower bleed down
switches.
1. Turn control selector switch to the off position.
2. Pull the emergency stop button out.

The aerial platform can tip over if it becomes un-
stable. Death or serious injury can result from a tip-
over accident. When using the bleed down system,
if the boom does not retract while lowering, stop
operations immediately.
3. Toggle and hold the emergency bleed down switches
on both sides of the panel simultaneously (refer to
Figure 10.5) Hold the switches in the up position to
lower and retract the boom. Make sure the boom is
retracting and lowering at the same time.
