If you set the rating category to BLOCK or VIEW, the sub-ratings
(for example, V for violence) will turn to BLOCK or VIEW auto-
matically. You can set the sub-ratings to BLOCK or VIEW individ-
ually only when the rating category is set to BLOCK.
Press the K or L button to select either the category or a
sub-rating. Then, press the B or s button to set the cate-
gory or sub-rating to BLOCK or VIEW.

Press the K or L button to select a rating, then press the
B
button once to select BLOCK or VIEW. When you block
a rating, the rating you selected, as well as all the higher ratings,
will be blocked. Lower ratings will be set to VIEW automatically.

Additional sub-ratings are available for TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14, and
TV-MA. If you selected TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14, or TV-MA
at step 5, press the B button a second time to see the
sub-ratings.
• D (inappropriate dialog) is not an
available sub-rating for TV-MA.
• Sub-ratings that are blocked will
appear beside the category in
parentheses at the TV RATING
menu (step 4).
