SYMPTOMS
SUGGESTED STEPS TO TAKE
Hookup
Can't get external audio
equipment to work with
TV.
Use a digital audio cable for digital program if the audio equipment has a Dolby digital decoder.
Connect one end of the 'SPDIF' output to the back of the TV and the other end to the digital
coaxial input of the audio equipment.
Switch on the TV and select a digital program
Switch on the audio equipment and select the input where the TV is connected
Adjust the volume of the audio equipment to hear the sound
Installation Television is not adding
any channels after
automatic installation.
Automatic installation was interrupted before installation is completed.
Try again the automatic installation and confi rm if the television is adding your local channels.Note: If
the same channels is still not added, it appears that you may have a signal problem. Contact the cable
provider or local broadcaster regarding the specifi c channel.
Or, you may try adding the weak channels which were deleted during automatic installation. (Refer to
page 13 for How to Add or Delete Weak Digital Signals).
Check antenna connection:
1. Check the antenna or cable TV input connection to ensure that it is properly secured to the
television’s antenna input.
If connection is good;
2. Check if the antenna or cable TV input is connected via a external device (such as VCR, DVD
Recorder or cable box) before being connected to the television. If so, bypass the external device and
connect the signal directly to your television. (Refer to page 10 for Automatic Program).
Installation Cannot receive
channels above 13 after
Auto Programming
If signal source used is Antenna, the channels need to be re-installed.
(Refer to page 10 for Automatic Program).
Installation Can't get the AV
channels on the TV
screen.
Press the ‘AV’ button on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired AV channels. Note:
SVHS can only be selected if a S-VHS device is connected and powered on.
Installation TV Displays Wrong
Channel or no Channels
Above 13
• Repeat channel selection.
• Add the desired channel numbers (using the CHANNEL EDIT control) into the TV’s memory.
• Check to be sure the TUNER MODES are set to the CABLE option and run the Auto Program
feature to find all available channels.
Channel numbers does
not follow the channel
number of the
programs.
Go to TUNER MODE in the television menu and select the correct signal source, then perform the
automatic installation again. (Refer to page 9).
PIP
Picture In Picture (PIP)
is distorted or is in bad
shape.
This is due to improper installation of channels.
Follow the Automatic Program steps on page 10.
Note: If you interrupt the automatic installation, not all local channels will be installed.
