3 Connecting the power cord

Connect the power cord.
Improper Setup
DO NOT connect the interface cable.
Connecting the interface cable is done during
the software installation process.
Warning
The machine must be fitted with an earthed plug.
Note
The control panel warning LED will stay on until
you have installed the ink cartridges.
4 Choosing your language

After connecting the power cord, the LCD
shows:

Press a or b to choose your language and
press OK.

If your language is chosen, press a (Yes).

If you have set the language wrongly, you
can change the language after setting the
date and time. (For details, see Changing
LCD language in Appendix B of the User's
Guide.)
