light

You.can.create.your.own.ambiance.by:.

Selecting.coloured.light.(see.Section.2.“Selecting.and.adjusting.individual.

Touching.the.desired.colour.on.the.colour.wheel..You.can.move.your.

finger.over.the.colour.wheel.to.refine.the.colour.

Changing.the.colour.saturation.(adding.more.white.to.the.current.

colour)..Press.on.the.saturation.up.button.for.a.deep.colour.or.the.

saturation.down.button.for.a.more.pastel.colour..If.you.keep.pressing.

the.saturation.down.button,.you.will.ultimately.reach.the.white.colour..

Starting.the.automatic.colour-changing.mode..Sweep.your.finger.around.

the.colour.wheel.(one.full.circle).and.briefly.press.on.“I”.(“On”);.you.

will.hear.a.beep,.and.LivingColors.will.switch.to.the.automatic.colour-

changing.mode:.the.lamp.will.start.changing.colours.automatically..

You.can.adjust.the.speed.with.which.colours.change..Speed.can.be.

adjusted.clockwise,.from.fast.(dark.blue.colour.on.the.colour.wheel).to.

slow.(purple)..You.can.tap.anywhere.on.the.colour.wheel..While.in.the.

automatic.colour.changing.mode,.you.can.also.adjust.the.saturation.and.

brightness.of.the.colours..

To.switch.back.to.static.colour.mode,.sweep.around.the.colour.wheel.

a.particular.automatic.colour-changing.mode.in.this.way..

You.can.continue.adjusting.the.lights.as.you.wish..Whenever.you.want.to.

1. Getting started

1.Turn.off.the.circuit.breaker.for.the.area.you.are.working.in.

2.Locate.the.area.where.the.cables.stick.out.of.the.ceiling..Drill.three.

holes.around.these.cables.in.the.ceiling,.put.in.plastic.fixation.plugs,.

and.then.screw.the.plate.to.the.ceiling.

3.Put.the.base.of.the.luminaire.on.the.plate.and.fix.this.

4.Connect.the.earth.cable.(usually.yellow.and.green.stripes).to.the.

earth.connection.inside.the.base.of.the.luminaire..Connect.the.live.

(usually.black.or.brown).and.neutral.(usually.blue).cables.to.the.

connectors.(marked.L/N)

5.Put.the.luminaire.(without.the.cap).on.the.base.that.has.already.been.

screwed.onto.the.ceiling..Fix.it.by.screwing.in.two.screws.in.the.

centre.

6.Plug.the.two.light.bulbs.into.the.luminaire.

7.Turn.on.the.circuit.breaker,.and.turn.on.the.switch

8.The.Philips.LivingColors.coloured.and.white.light.ceiling.lamp.will.turn.

on,.shining.orange.light.up,.and.white.light.around..

9.Put.on.the.two.parts.of.the.luminaire.cap.as.shown.on.the.drawing..

10.Open.the.battery.compartment.of.the.remote.control.by.sliding.the.

button.at.the.back..Insert.the.3.AAA.batteries.(+.and.–.as.indicated).

2. Selecting and adjusting individual lights

You.can.adjust.both.lights.of.the.lamp.at.the.same.time,.or.control.

the.white.light.and.the.coloured.light.of.your.lamp.separately..In.

order.to.control.a.light,.you.need.to.select.it..You.can.do.it.using.the.

light.selection.buttons..When.selected,.the.light.will.flash.and.the.light.

selection.indicator.on.the.remote.control.(light.bulb).will.light.up..This.

means.you.can.now.adjust.the.selected.light.individually..

When.no.light.is.selected.(light.selection.indicator.is.off),.all.your.

adjustments.will.apply.to.all.lights.connected.to.the.remote.control.(for.

example,.you.can.dim.both.white.and.coloured.lights.together).

You.can.change.the.order.in.which.lights.are.controlled.(for.example,.

you.can.decide.to.always.have.white.light.first.and.coloured.light.
