•The manufacturer advises the correct use of lighting fittings! Therefore always follow these
instructions to ensure correct and safe installation and functioning of the fitting and keep it for
future reference.
•Always isolate the power before commencing installation, maintenance or repair.
• If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician or contact your retail outlet Ensure that you always
install the fitting to the relevant regulations. Certain regulations indicate that lighting fittings
should be installed by a qualified electrician (EG Part P for the UK).
•Always tighten the terminal screws firmly, especially the attachment for low voltage wiring
(12V) (if applicable).
•Observe the correct colour of the wiring before installation: blue (N), brown (L) and if
protection class l,yellow/green (earth).
•Maintain interior lighting with a dry cloth duster, do not use abrasives or solvents.Avoid liquid
on all electrical parts.
•Please mount wall lights out of children's reach.
•If the luminaire is mounted on a metallic surface,this surface must be bonded to the
protective earth conductor or to the equipotential bonding conductor of the installation.
•Always consider all the technical specifications of the fitting.Verify the stated icons on
the identification label on the fitting and the icons that are shown in part A of your safety
instructions.
•^Disposal of your old product Your product is designed and manufactured with high
quality materials and components, which can be recycled and reused.When this crossed-out
wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product it means the product is covered by the European
Directive 2002/96/EC. Please inform yourself about the local separate collection system for
electrical and electronic products. Please act according to your local rules and do not dispose
of your old products with your normal household waste.The correct disposal of your old
product will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human
health.
ATTENTION: Below you will find all the explanations with numeric reference
to the icons respectively in front of these safety instructions:
01 - This fitting should only be installed indoors.
02- The fitting is not suitable for installation in bathrooms at least not in the specified zone.
03- The fitting is suitable for fixing to normal flammable surfaces. Recessed luminaires should
under no circumstances be covered with insulation material or other similar materials.
04- This product is not suitable for direct mounting on flammable surfaces.
05- The fitting may be covered with insulating material.
06- The fitting is only suitable for fixing to the ceiling.
07- The fitting is only suitable for fixing to the wall.
08- The fitting is suitable for fixing to the wall and to the ceiling.
09- Always observe the minimum distance between the lamp and the surface being lit as
indicated on the icon.
10- IPX I :The fitting is protected against dripping water.
11 - IPX3: the fitting may be exposed to raindrops (falling drops under a maximum angle of 60°
to the vertical axis).
12- IPX4: the fitting is splash-proof it may be exposed to splashing water coming from any
direction (360°).
13- IPX5:The fitting is protected against water jets.
14- IPX7:The fitting can be installed into the ground.
15- IPX8: offers protection against immersion up to the indicated depth.
16- IPSXThe fitting is dust protected.
17- IP6XThe fitting is dust tight
18- Immediately replace a cracked or broken safety glass and use only manufacturer approved
parts.
19- Protection class l:the fitting has an earthing connection.The earth wire (yellow/green) has
to be connected to the clip marked with @ .
20- Protection class II: the fitting is double insulated and must not be connected to an Earth.
21 - Protection class III: the fitting is only suitable for very low voltage supply (e.g. 12V).
22- Strip the wire as indicated in the diagram.
23- The earthing wire always has to be longer than the contact wires.
24- The use of the supplied heat-resistant sleeving is required over the unstripped wire
lengths.
25- Use heat-resistant cable for wiring the fitting into the mains.
26- The fitting is only suitable for wiring directly into the mains.
27- X-connection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced by a wire of the same
type.
Yconnection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced only by the
manufacturer, distributor or by an expert, to avoid risks.
Z-connection:The wire can’t be replaced.
28- MAX.. .W: only use lamps suitable for this fitting and keep within the maximum specified
wattage.
29- The fitting is only suitable for reflector lamp(s).
30- The fitting is only suitable for PLCE lamps.
31 - The fitting is not suitable for PLCE lamps.
32- Only an incandescent lamp with a diameter of 60mm can be used.A lamp with a 45mm
diameter must not be used for this fitting.
33- Only use an incandescent globe bulb that is the size of the indicated diameter. Never use a
standard incandescent bulb.
This product is only suitable for candle shaped bulbs.
Never use “cool-beam” lamps for this fitting.
The fitting is only suitable for a lamp with built-in safety or a low pressure lamp.An extra
safety glass is not necessary.
Capsule and linear halogen lamps may not be touched by bare hands.
The fitting is equipped with a fuse. If the fitting is out of order after the bulb has been
replaced, the internal fuse has to be replaced. If contact with the internal wiring can be
made during this operation, this should be done by a competent electrician.
The fitting can be used in combination with a dimmer with exception where PLCE-lamps
are used. Consult a qualified electrician for choosing the right type (especially important
for 12V-fittings).
The fitting is working with a safety transformer. Replace a broken transformer only with a
transformer with identical technical specifications. Consult a qualified electrician or your
retail outlet
Fittings for rough use.
Fitting with time and light setting options. Minimum and maximum will be shown in the
icon in part A.
The fitting can be placed at a maximum of 6 meters height
To reach an optimal working, you have to place the fitting on the height mentioned in the
icon.The maximum and minimum reach of the detector is also mentioned in the icon in
part A
The standard active range of vision of the detector covers the given degrees mentioned in
the icon.
This fitting should be mounted horizontally. For longer life, the bulb should not be at a
greater angle than 4 degrees.
Ensure that you don’t drill through electrical wires or any other obstruction in the wall or
ceiling during installation!
If the luminaire is mounted onto a ceiling-box or wall-box, it is obliged to cover the box
with a lid first. (e.g.The Netherlands)
Electrical wiring may never be clamped or twisted between the luminaire and the
mounting surface !
Luminaires designed for use with bowl mirror lamps.
This luminaire contains in some places very hot parts.
This product is not suitable for children under 14 years.

The lighting fitting - as well as all other products from the collection - is designed, produced
and tested in accordance with the strictest European safety standards (EN 60.598 /^^). In case
of construction faults or material damages the manufacturer gives a guarantee up to 2 years for
indoor lighting and outdoor lighting, (unless otherwise stated on the packaging) Broken glass,

•EI fabricante aconseja un uso correcto de los aparatos de iluminación! Por lo tanto siga
siempre estas instrucciones para asegurar un correcto y seguro funcionamiento de las
lámparas y consérvelas para futuras consultas.
•Corte la corriente siempre antes de comenzar la instalación, el mantenimiento o la reparación.
•En caso de duda,consulte a un electricista cualificado o a su establecimiento habitual.
Asegúrese de que siempre se instala la lámpara según las normas pertinentes. Ciertas normas
indican que los aparatos de iluminación deben ser instalados por personal cualificado (p.e.
Alemania).
•Apriete siempre los tornillos del bloque de conexión, especialmente las conexiones del
cableado de bajo voltaje ( 12V) (en su caso).
•Compruebe el color correcto de los cables antes de la instalación:azul (N), marrón o negro
(L) y amarillo/verde (toma de tierra) si es de protección clase I.
•Limpie el interior de las lámparas con un paño seco y limpio, no use disolventes o sustancias
abrasivas. Evite el contacto de líquidos en todas las partes eléctricas.
•Por favor, instale los apliques fuera del alcance de los niños.
•Si el aparato está instalado encima de una superficie metálica,esta superficie debe estar
conectada a una toma de tierra, o el propio aparato deberá estar conectado a una toma de
tierra.
•Tenga en cuenta siempre todas las especificaciones técnicas del aparato.Verifique siempre los
iconos de la etiqueta gris pegada en la lámpara y los iconos en la parte A de las instrucciones
de seguridad.
• ^^Desecho del producto antiguo: El producto se ha diseñado y fabricado con materiales y
componentes de alta calidad, que se pueden reciclar y volver a utilizar. Cuando este símbolo
de contenedor de ruedas tachado se muestra en un producto indica que éste cumple
la directiva europea 2002/96/EC. Obtenga información sobre la recogida selectiva local
de productos eléctricos y electrónicos. Cumpla con la normativa local y no deseche los
productos antiguos con los desechos domésticos. El desecho correcto del producto antiguo
ayudará a evitar consecuencias negativas para el medioambiente y la salud humana.

que aparecen en las instrucciones de seguridad, ordenados numéricamente:
01 - Este aparato sólo debe instalarse en el interior
02- El aparato no es adecuado para ser instalado en cuartos de baño (como mínimo no en la
zona especificada).
03- El aparato puede ser instalado en superficies normalmente inflamables.
Las lámparas empotradas no deben ser cubiertas con aislante o material similar bajo
ninguna circunstancia.
04- Este producto no es adecuado para ser instalado directamente sobre superficies
inflamables.
05- El aparato se puede cubrir con material aislante.
06- El aparato solamente puede ser instalado en el techo.
07- El aparato solamente puede ser instalado en la pared.
08- El aparato es apto para instalación en pared o techo.
09- Mantener siempre la distancia mínima entre la lámpara y los objetos que puedan provocar
chispas, como muestra el icono.
10- IPXI: El aparato está protegido contra el goteo de agua.
11 - IPX3: El aparato puede ser expuesto a lluvia fina (con una inclinación máxima de 60° sobre
la vertical).
12- IPX4: El aparato puede ser expuesto a salpicaduras que provengan de cualquier dirección
(360°).
13- IPX5: El aparato está protegido contra chorros de agua.
14- IPX7: El aparato puede instalarse en el suelo.
15- IPX8: El aparato ofrece protección contra inmersión hasta la profundidad indicada.
16- IP5X: El aparato está protegido contra el polvo.
17- IP6X: El aparato es estanco al polvo.
18- Reemplace inmediatamente cristales de seguridad agrietados o rotos y use sólo recambios
aprobados por el fabricante.
19- Protección clase I: El aparato tiene toma de tierra. El cable de toma de tierra (amarillo/
verde) debe ser conectado al clip marcado con el símbolo©.
20- Protección clase II: El aparato tiene doble aislamiento y no puede ser conectado a tierra.
21 - Protección clase III: El aparato es adecuado solamente para muy baja tensión (p.e. 12V).
22- Pelar el cable como indicado en el dibujo.
23- El cable de toma de tierra ha de ser siempre más lar^go que los cables de contacto.
24- El uso de los manguitos resistentes al calor suministrados es necesario en las zonas con el
cable pelado.
25- Utilice un cable resistente al calor para conectar el aparato a la corriente.
26- El aparato sólo es adecuado para conectar directamente a la red eléctrica.
27- Conexión X: si el cable queda dañado, ha de ser sustituido por otro del mismo tipo
Conexión Y: si el cable queda dañado, ha de ser sustituido sólo por el fabricante, por el
detallista o por una persona cualificada, para evitar riesgos.
