You can see the current tasks, if any, in the application area as a tree structure.

You can choose a different view for the file list to display more information. In the menu, select View>
Advanced to toggle Advanced view on and off. Advanced view displays only tasks that have been set.

To create a new synchronization task

To automate the synchronization process with Task Scheduler, proceed as follows.

1 In the menu, select Task> New. Task Scheduler Wizard starts.

2 In the Task scheduler dialog box, choose the task type and click Next >.

3 In the Select PC scheduler dialog box, select the PC application with which you want to synchronize your

PC data. Click Next >.

4 In the Calendar synchronization options dialog box, select the Nokia 9290 Communicator file to be syn-

chronized. Click Browse to locate the file, if necessary.

5 Click Change... to change the synchronization settings displayed in the dialog box, if necessary. For more

information about application-specific advanced settings, see “Advanced synchronization settings” on
page 20. When you are satisfied with the advanced settings, click Next >.

6 Give a descriptive name for the new task in the Task Name: edit box and select the method of running the

task in the Run Task: drop-down list. If you selected to run the task “At scheduled time,” you can click
Change... to redefine the scheduling.

7 If you clicked Change... in step 3, define the frequency and time when the task should be run in the Time

and Date Task Trigger dialog box.
