To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall 
Toshiba or its supplier be liable for (1) damage to, or loss or corruption of 
records, programs, data or removable storage media, or (2) any damages 
whatsoever (including direct or indirect damages, loss of business profits, 
lost savings or other special, incidental, exemplary or consequential 
damages whether for breach of warranty, contract, strict liability, tort or 
otherwise) arising out of or resulting from the use of or inability to use the 
products and/or the enclosed written materials (including all manuals), 
even if Toshiba, its supplier, an authorised Toshiba representative, service 
provider or dealer have been advised of the possibility of such damages or 
of any claim by any third party. In any event, any liability of Toshiba or its 
supplier which is not excluded shall be limited to the purchase price of the 
product.
Definitions of terms
Accessory & Digital Product – A product, which has been bought 
independently from the Toshiba product.
Application software – A software program that carries out some useful 
task. Database managers, spreadsheets, communications packages, 
graphics programs and word processors are all applications.
Carry-in – Where the faulty product is returned to a Toshiba Authorised 
Reseller or Toshiba Authorised Service Provider at the customer’s risk and 
expenses.
EMEA – Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Operating System – The master control program that runs the product. 
It is the first program loaded when the device is switched on.
Pick-up & Return – The product will be collected from an agreed location, 
repaired and returned to the customer at the earliest opportunity within the 
country of purchase.
Send-in – Where the faulty product is sent to a Toshiba Authorised 
Reseller or Toshiba Authorised Service Provider at the customer’s risk and 
expenses.
Support – Assistance with a user problem, which is not a hardware or 
software failure.
Toshiba Authorised Reseller – An organisation that has been authorised 
and trained to sell Toshiba products and may also be authorised to support 
Toshiba products.
Toshiba Authorised Service Provider – An organisation that has been 
authorised and trained to support Toshiba products.
Warranty period – The time from date of purchase to when your product is 
eligible to be repaired free of charge.
Toshiba reserves the right to alter or cancel this programme at any time 
without prior notice.
