8. Attach the power cord phase
conductor (red wire) to the
other phase terminal
(
marked L1
). Tighten screw until
power conductor is secure.
9. Tighten the screws on the
strain relief so that the power
cord cannot be moved.
10. ReĆinstall the cover of the
junction box and secure with
four screws removed earlier.
The appliance is now ready to be
plugged into the 4Ćwire receptacle
of the power rating.
Connecting 3Ćwire
power supply cord
If your receptacle is a 3Ćwire
receptacle as shown below,
you must obtain a 3Ćwire dryer
cord. Dryer cord can usually be
found at your local hardware
supply, electrical supply or home
center. Cord should have closed
loop or upturned end wire
terminating connectors.
Note:
ThreeĆwire power supply cord must
have three, AWG No.Ć10 copper
wires and match a threeĆwire
receptacle of NEMA Type 10Ć30R.

To connect power cord:
1. Remove the screws from the
cover of the junction box
located at the top rear of the
dryer.
2. Loosen/remove the two screws
on the strain relief clamp and
remove from 3Ćwire supply
cord. The strain relief splits into
two identical parts.
3. Insert the large flange of both
sections into the hole located
on the side of the junction box
housing and fixed by coupling
nut from inside the box. The
short flange of both sections
and screws must remain
positioned on the external side
of the junction box housing.
4. Insert the 3Ćwire supply cord
through both sections of the
strain relief and reĆinstall the
strain relief screws, do not fully
tighten until electrical
connections are complete.
5. Attach the power cord ground
conductor (green wire) to the
ground terminal hole marked in
the figure with PE. Tighten
screw until ground conductor is
secure.
6. Attach the two remaining
power cord phase conductors
to the phase terminals
(L2 = black wire and L1 = red
wire). Tighten screws so that
the power conductors are
secure.
7. Tighten the screws on the
strain relief so that the power
cord cannot be moved.
8. ReĆinstall the cover of the
junction box and secure with
four screws removed earlier.
The dryer is now ready to be
plugged into the 3Ćwire receptacle,
of the proper rating.
Additional grounding procedure
- Some local regulations may
require a separate ground.
In such cases, the required
accessory ground wire, clamp
and screw must be purchased
separately.
- Never ground the dryer to
plastic plumbing lines, gas lines
or water pipes.
Grounding instruction
This appliance must be grounded.
In the event of a malfunction or
breakdown, grounding will reduce
the risk of electric shock by
providing a path of least resistance
for the electric current.
For CANADA
This appliance is equipped with a
cord having an equipmentĆ
grounding conductor and
a grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into an appropriate outlet
that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all
local codes and ordinances.
