Power cord must be connected

For CANADA
Your dryer comes with a 4Ćwire
power supply cord, CSA listed in
Canada.
The Bosch dryer requires a 4Ćwire
receptacle.
When installing the receptacle for
the dryer cord, ensure that the
power supply cord is accessible
when the dryer is in the installed
position.
The power cord should only be
replaced by a qualified person.
Use a 4Ćwire power supply cord
(see electrical connection U.S.A.
below).
For U.S.A.
Your dryer comes without a power
supply cord.
The power cord must
meet the following requirements:
- UL listed in the USA
- 240 V minimum rated
- 30 A rated
- Type SRDT
- Five feet long (minimum)
- closedĆloop terminals or
openĆend spade lugs with
upturned ends

Power cord must be connected

30 amp power cord with strain
relief clamp -
note manufacturer's instructions.
Do not plug end of power cord
into a live receptacle before conĆ
necting power cord to appliance
terminals and closing junction/
splitter box as described below.
Do not reuse old power cord.
Cord must have closed loop or
upturned end wire terminating
connectors.
Do not make a sharp bend or
crimp wiring/conductor at conĆ
nections.
Only a 4Ćconductor cord shall
be used when the appliance is
installed in a mobile home or an
area where the local codes do
not permit grounding through
the neutral.
Note:
FourĆwire power supply cord must
have four, AWG No.Ć10 copper wires
and match a fourĆwire receptacle of
NEMA Type 14Ć30R. The fourth wire
(ground conductor) must be identified
with a green cover and the neutral
conductor by a white cover.

To connect power cord:
1. Remove the screws from the
cover of the junction box
located at the top rear of the
dryer.
2. Loosen/remove the two screws
on the strain relief clamp and
remove from 4Ćwire supply
cord. The strain relief splits into
two identical parts.
3. Insert the large flange of both
sections into the hole located
on the side of the junction box
housing and fixed by coupling
nut from inside the box. The
short flange of both sections
and screws must remain
positioned on the external side
of the junction box housing.
4. Insert the 4Ćwire supply cord
through both sections of the
strain relief and reĆinstall strain
relief screws, do not fully
tighten until electrical
connections are complete.
5. Attach the power cord ground
conductor (green wire) to the
ground terminal hole marked in
the figure with PE. Tighten the
screw until ground conductor
is secure.
6. Attach the power cord neutral
conductor (white wire) to the
neutral terminal (
marked N
).
Tighten screw until neutral
conductor is secure.
7. Attach the power cord phase
conductor (black wire) to one
of the phase terminals
(
marked L2
). Tighten screw until
power conductor is secure.
