PC connection

As PCs are sometimes supplied with a “conventional” CRT monitor, you may need to adjust the display settings of your PC’s
graphic card; otherwise the pictures may not appear correctly. Switch on your PC (still with your original monitor), select “1360 x
768” for the screen resolution, and select “60 Hz” for the on-screen refresh rate. Switch off your PC, and then connect it to your
TV while both items are switched off.

Select PC input

(1) Switch on the TV.
(2) Switch on the computer.
(3) Select the PC input mode on the TV

(see page 21). (When you use an
HDMI cable, select HDMI input
mode.)

Note:

• The PC audio input terminal on the TV

is shared with the HDMI 1 analogue
audio input terminal.

• If there is no video signal from the

computer when the TV is in PC mode,

No Signal will appear on the TV
screen.

• If a digital PC connection does show

a picture, proper working is not
guaranteed. Digital PC connection
is not granted for this TV.

Use a PC-VGA cable (not supplied) to connect the TV to your PC. You can also use
an HDMI cable to connect the TV to your PC. When the HDMI cable is used, the
audio cable is no longer required. If you use the HDMI-to-DVI cable, please connect
audio cable in the same way as VGA cable. Connect cables carefully. Do not bend
or break the connector pins.

To adjust the contrast:

During PC mode, press

MENU SETUP

to display the Main Menu screen.

to select

Picture, and then press ENTER/CH LIST

.

Press

to select

Picture Setting, and then press ENTER/CH LIST

.

Select

Contrast and then press ENTER/CH LIST .

Press

to adjust the contrast.

Press

EXIT/CANCEL

to return to the normal screen.

After connecting a PC to your TV, you can now configure the display and audio settings.

To configure the display settings:

(1) Press

MENU SETUP

to display the Main Menu

screen.

(2) Press

to select the

Picture menu, and then press

ENTER/CH LIST .

(3) On the Picture menu, you can adjust various picture

properties such as brightness, contrast, sharpness,
colour, tint, colour temperature, backlight, and dynalight.

Note: Tint can be adjusted only when NTSC signal is

supported.
(4) For a list of available menu options in the Picture menu,

see page 32.

To configure the audio settings:

(1) Press

MENU SETUP

to display the Main Menu

screen.

(2) Press

to select the

Sound menu, and then press

ENTER/CH LIST .

(3) On the Sound menu, you can adjust the NICAM stereo

reception, and the bass, treble, balance, and sound
effects.

Note: NICAM is available only when the TV is set to ATV

mode.
