INSTALLATION
LOCATION
Install the unit in a well-ventilated location
where it will not be exposed to high tempera-
tures or humidity.
Do not install the unit in a location which is exposed
to direct rays of the sun, or near hot appliances or
radiators. Excessive heat can adversely affect the
cabinet and internal components. Installation of the
unit in a damp or dusty environment may also result
in a malfunction or an accident. (Avoid installation
near cookers etc., where the unit may be exposed to
oily smoke, steam or heat.)
Do not install the unit on a tottered stand, nor on an
unstable or inclined surface.
VENTILATION
• When installing this unit, make sure to leave space
around the unit for ventilation to improve heat
radiation (at least 55 cm at top, 10 cm at rear, and
20 cm at each side). If not enough space is
provided between the unit and walls or other
equipment, heat will build up inside, interfering
with performance or causing malfunctions.
• Do not place on a thick carpet, bed, sofa or fabric
having a thick pile. Do not cover with fabric or
other covering.
Anything that blocks ventilation will cause internal
temperature to rise, which may lead to breakdown
or fire hazard.
CONDENSATION
When the unit is brought into a warm room from
previously cold conditions or when the room tempera-
ture is suddenly increased, condensation may form
inside and the unit may not be able to attain its full
performance. In cases like this, allow the unit to stand
for about an hour or raise the room temperature
gradually.
POWER-CORD CAUTION
Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull out the
plug by tugging the cord and never touch the power
cord when your hands are wet as this could cause a
short circuit or electric shock. Do not place the unit, a
piece of furniture, etc., on the power cord, or pinch the
cord. Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other
cords. The power cords should be routed such that
they are not likely to be stepped on. A damaged power
cord can cause fire or give you an electrical shock.
Check the power cord once in a while. When you find
it damaged, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized
service center or your dealer for a replacement.
NOTES:
• If you use an other power cord than provided, we cannot assume
the liabilities in what may occur as a result of it.
• (The provided power cord has a current capacity of 2.5 A.)

AUFSTELLUNGSORT
Das Gerät an einem gut belüfteten Ort
aufstellen, wo es weder hoher Temperatur noch
Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt ist.
Das Gerät nicht an direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder
in der Nähe von wärmeerzeugenden Elektrogeräten
oder Heizkörpern aufstellen. Gehäuse und Bauteile im
Geräteinneren können durch übermäßige
Wärmeeinwirkung beschädigt werden. Die
Aufstellung des Gerätes an einem feuchten oder
staubigen Ort kann Störungen und Schäden zur Folge
haben. (Das Gerät auch nicht in der Nähe von Herden
o.ä. aufstellen, wo es Öldampf, Wasserdampf oder
Wärmestrahlung ausgesetzt ist.)
Installieren Sie das Gerät weder auf einem
wackeligen Stativ noch auf einer unstabilen oder
schiefen Fläche.
BELÜFTUNG
• Wenn Sie dieses Gerät installieren, achten Sie
darauf, daß Sie um das Gerät herum für die
Belüftung Platz lassen, um die Wärmeabstrahlung
zu verbessern (mindestens 55 cm oben, 10 cm
hinten und 20 cm an jeder Seite). Wenn nicht
genug Platz zwischen dem Gerät und den Wänden
oder anderem Zubehör gelassen wird, kann sich
im Inneren Wärme stauen, dies wirkt sich auf die
Funktionstüchtigkeit aus oder kann Fehlfunktionen
verursachen.
• Auf einen dicken Teppich, ein Bett, eine Couch
oder einen Stoffstapel legen. Nicht mit Stoff oder
einer anderen Abdeckung abdecken.
Alles, was die Lüftung behindert, kann
Temperaturanstieg im Inneren hervorrufen, der zu
einem Defekt oder zu Brandgefahr führen kann.
FEUCHTIGKEITSNIEDERSCHLAG
Wenn das Gerät von einem kalten in einen warmen
Raum gebracht wird, oder wenn die Raumtemperatur
plötzlich abfällt, kann es zu Feuchtigkeitsniederschlag
im Inneren des Gerätes kommen. Das Gerät ist dann
nicht mehr voll leistungsfähig. Lassen Sie das Gerät
zur Vermeidung einer Kondensationbildung ca. eine
Stunde lang stehen, bevor Sie es einschalten oder
erhöhen Sie die Raumtemperatur langsam.
VORSICHT MIT DEM NETZKABEL
Fassen Sie das Netzkabel immer am Stecker an.
Ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel selbst, und fassen Sie das
Netzkabel niemals mit nassen Händen an, da dies
einen Kurzschluß oder elektrischen Schlag
verursachen kann. Stellen Sie nicht das Gerät,
Möbelstücke o.ä. auf das Netzkabel; achten Sie auch
darauf, daß es nicht eingeklemmt wird. Machen Sie
niemals einen Knoten in das Netzkabel, und binden
Sie es nicht mit anderen Kabeln. Das Netzkabel sollte
so gelegt werden, daß niemand darauf tritt. Ein
beschädigtes Netzkabel kann einen Brand oder
elektrischen Schlag verursachen. Prüfen Sie das
Netzkabel von Zeit zu Zeit. Sollte es beschädigt sein,
wenden Sie sich an Ihre nächste autorisierte PIO-
NEER-Kundendienststelle oder Ihren Händler, um es
zu ersetzen.
HINWEISE:
• Wird ein anderes Netzkabel verwendet, als das mitgelieferte,
übernehmen wir für etwaige Folgen keinerlei Haftung.
• (Das mitgelieferte Netzkabel hat eine Kapazität von 2,5A).
