Other connections
• Before making or changing the connections, switch off
the power and disconnect the power cord from the AC
outlet.
• If the AUX IN mini-plug jack is connected to auxiliary
phones jack, the volume of the unit will be adjusted by
the volume on the playback component. If the sound is
distorted after you lower the volume of the unit, try
lowering the volume on the auxiliary playback
component.
• This unit can not transfer the external input’s sound from
the HDMI OUT terminal.
Connecting auxiliary components
Connect the rear panel AUX IN mini-plug jack to your
auxiliary playback component.
• This method can be used to play music on this unit from
iPods/iPhones that do not support use of an iPod Dock.
• Press FUNCTION / to select AUX as the
input source.
When AUX is selected, ‘ ’ is displayed on the front
panel display.
Tip
• When no auxiliary component is connected to the AUX
IN mini-plug jack and the unit has not been operated for
30 minutes or more, the power will automatically turn
off.
