Loading the batteries
This camera uses two CR-V3 lithium battery packs or four AA (R6) NiMH
batteries, NiCd batteries, alkaline batteries or lithium batteries.

Make sure that:

Slide the battery compartment
cover in the direction of

mark on the cover), and
lift it up in the direction of .

Insert the batteries, making sure that they are correctly
oriented as shown in the illustration.

Close the battery compartment
cover in the direction of

While pressing the
mark, slide the cover in the
direction of
.
If the battery compartment cover will not close easily, do not force it.
Try pressing [OPEN] and the
mark with both hands.
If the camera is left for about 1 hour with the batteries removed, all the
internal settings will revert to the factory default settings.
The lens barrier
is closed.
The green
lamp is off.
The monitor is off.
