Defining a scanning destination

Defining a scanning destination allows you to control how the connector behaves during the
Authenticate, Navigate, and Index phases at the device.

You must define at least one database destination for each connector profile. If you define more
than one destination, the connector will prompt the user to select one during the scanning
process.

To define a scanning destination:

Select the Configure tab and then enter database and server settings for the new
destination (see Table 1).

Click Add.
The destinations appear in the database list.

Continue to add entries to the database list until it contains all the destinations that you
want to make available from this connector profile to the users at the device.

Select Display only Required attributes if you want to limit the list of attributes at the
device to those set as required in Livelink ECM.

Select the type ahead setting.

Click Save to save the settings for the connector profile.
