5.2 Using the original glass
How to scan documents using the original glass

Select the PC software program (Imaging, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).
This procedure uses Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional as an example.

Click [File].

Click [Create PDF], and then click [From Scanner].

Choose the device from the dialog box, then click [Scan].

Adjust any settings necessary.

Place the document face down on
the original glass.

Align the document with the scale
marks across the top and to the left
of the original glass.

Click [Scan] to begin scanning.

Click [Prescan] to display the prescanned image in the Over View Win-
dow, and then check the scanning area settings and the prescanned im-
age.
