5. Lift the heat sink and fan assembly off the system board.
6. Position the new heat sink on the microprocessor socket, and then position the
clamp on the plastic retention bracket. Pivot the handle 1 to clamp the heat
sink to the plastic retention bracket.
7. Connect the microprocessor fan cable to the microprocessor fan connector on
the system board.
8. Go to Chapter 4, “Completing the parts replacement,” on page 31.
