7 Operating the Remote Control Machine
This section describes how to:
Read the display (see section 7.1) and view the current status (see section
7.1.1)
Switch OUT-IN combinations (see 7.2)
Confirm settings (see section 7.3)
Choose the audio-follow-video or the breakaway feature (see section 7.4)
Lock the front panel (see section 7.5)
7.1 Reading the Display
The input Status is displayed on LCD for the
RC-160 and RC-160L machines,
and displayed on a 7-segment display for the
RC-80.
Upon connecting the power to the unit, the display shows:
During normal operation, the display shows the inputs switched to the outputs

as illustrated in Figure 10:

In case of a communication problem, the display shows:
Check that all units are turned ON and that the cables are properly
connected
Remember to power OFF and ON after any DIP-switch change
7.1.1
Viewing the Current Status
The
RC-160 shows the status of the last switched output by illuminating the
corresponding IN and OUT buttons.
To view the current setting of an output, press the corresponding OUT button. If
an input is connected to this output, the corresponding IN button will illuminate.
