Pressing the MUTE key will activate your player’s mute function. While sound will cease on

any played program, normal video images will continue to be broadcast. When the mute

key is pressed, a MUTE message will appear in the upper right hand corner of the viewing

monitor. To restore sound, press the MUTE button once again; an UNMUTE message will

then appear on-screen.

T-SEARCH Key

The above icon will appear on the TV screen when you press the PROGRAM key. This key

is used to set the play order of various chapters (songs, segments) on an installed disc.

This function is only available for VCD and CD discs. For playing back VCD, VCD’s play-

back control (PBC) function must be OFF (refer to page 56). You can arrange and rear-

range selections to your own preference by scrolling up and down using the

keys.

PROGRAM Key

The above icons will appear on the TV screen when you press the T-SEARCH key. This key

is employed to execute a chapter search. Press the up or down (

) keys to change

the number displayed next to the graphic to your desired chapter. Please note not all discs

support the search capability.
