Answering system operation

Changing feature options

When the answering system is on, you can customize
how the system operates. Press and hold

TAS

/SETUP to

begin, then press repeatedly to hear each feature. Press

SKIP or REPEAT to change the setting of any fea-

ture. Or press

PLAY

/STOP to exit.

A: Callers can leave messages.

Announce only: Callers cannot

leave messages (page 23).

Choose number of rings before

the system answers a call (2 to 7).

There are two toll saver options:

2/4 (the system answers after two

rings if there are new messages/

memos; otherwise, it answers after

four rings) and 4/6 (the system

answers after four rings if there

are new messages/memos; other-

wise, it answers after six rings).

When on, the telephone beeps

every 15 seconds when you have

new messages.

Follow the prompts to enter a

three-digit number (must be

between 500 and 999).
