Tips
• The step in which the [Passkey Input] screen appears varies depending on
Bluetooth compatible devices, and for some devices, the [Passkey input]
screen does not appear. In any case, follow the instructions shown on the
screen and enter a Passkey when required.
• Depending on the radio wave conditions, it may take time to complete a
device discovery and establish communication.
• If it takes too long to perform a device discovery, tap [Cancel] on the discovery
screen, and conduct a discovery again.
• If the device discovery failed in detecting a Bluetooth compatible computer,
conduct a discovery again.
2 Performing a HotSync operation

Check that the icon is displayed on the task tray in
the lower right corner of your computer display.
z If you cannot find the icon on the task tray
From the [Start] menu, click [Programs] ([All Programs] in Windows ® XP),
[Sony Handheld], and [HotSync Manager] to start up the HotSync
manager.

Tap the [HotSync] icon on the home screen of your CLIÉ
handheld.
The [HotSync] screen appears.

Check that [Local] is selected.
