Thanks to a maximum sensitivity of ISO 16000, dimly lit scenes can be
shot without flash, allowing you to capture the ambience of existing
lighting. High sensitivity also lets you use fast shutter speeds to freeze
action. What’s more, the Exmor-BIONZ duo keeps noise to a minimum
when shooting at high ISO settings while area-specific noise reduction
— technology that controls the amount of noise reduction depending
on which part of the image it is applied — maintains sharpness along
edge lines and provides the optimal balance between acceptable
levels of noise and resolution. For added convenience, NEX-3N can also
automatically adjust sensitivity between ISO 200 and 3200.
