Formatting Memory Cards
Memory cards can be formatted using the CF Card Format
option in the setup menu for each mode. To format a memory
card:

Confirming Shutter Release
The red-eye reduction lamp next to the
viewfinder can be set to provide visual
confirmation of shutter release using the
Shot Confirm Lamp item in the
M-REC setup menu.
