Installing Software
Before connecting to a network, install the Wireless Transmitter
Utility, available for free download from the Nikon website using
the supplied ViewNX 2 CD (an Internet connection is required).
The Wireless Transmitter Utility is required for pairing in image
transfer and camera control modes (
014) and can be used to
create network profiles.
Before installing the Wireless Transmitter Utility, confirm that your
computer meets the system requirements (
06) and that the
product firmware (including the firmware for the camera and
wireless transmitter or communication unit) and any supplied
software have been updated to the latest versions.

Double-click the installer icon.
After downloading the installer, double-click the
installer icon.

Select a language (Windows only).
Select a language and click Next.
