Image mode not available.
• Image mode cannot be adjusted when
Multi-shot 16 is selected for Continuous.
• Image mode cannot be set in the high-
speed continuous mode.
• When ISO sensitivity is set to 6400 or
12800, Q 4352×3264, R 4352×3264, R
3264×2448, L 2592×1944, P
4352×2448, and m 1920×1080 cannot be
selected for Image mode.
No sound when shutter is
released.
• Off is selected for Sound settings > Shutter
sound in setup menu.
• Continuous or Multi-shot 16 or BSS is
selected for
Continuous in shooting menu.
• The high-speed continuous mode is selected.
• d (Sports scene mode) or l (Museum
scene mode) is selected.
• D mode is selected.
• Do not block the speaker.
AF-assist illuminator does not
light.
• Off is selected for AF assist option in camera
setup menu.
• AF-assist illuminator turns off automatically in
some modes.
• The AF-assist illuminator cannot be used in
the high-speed continuous mode.
Pictures appear smeared.
Lens is dirty. Clean lens.
Colors are unnatural.
White balance does not match light source.
Randomly spaced bright pixels
(“noise”) appear in image.
The subject is dark, so shutter speed is too slow or
ISO sensitivity is too high. Noise can be reduced
by:
• Using flash.
• Specifying a lower ISO sensitivity setting.
Pictures are too dark
(underexposed).
• Flash is off.
• Flash window is blocked.
• Subject is beyond flash range.
• Adjust exposure compensation.
• Raise the ISO sensitivity.
• Subject is backlit. Select o (Backlight scene
mode) or use fill flash.
Pictures are too bright
(overexposed).
Adjust exposure compensation.
