Start:
1. Remove and inventory the JBA
Exhaust System.
2. Disconnect the negative bat-
tery cable and allow the exhaust
system to completely cool.
3. Loosen the clamps attaching
the exhaust to the catalytic con-

back to separate the two.
Note: This exhaust system is
designed to work with a GT
rear valance, or a V-6 bumper
trimmed to match a GT.
4. Loosen the clamp connecting
the exhaust pipe to the muffler.
Wiggle the exhaust pipe free from
the muffler. Remove the exhaust
pipe from car.
5. Using pliers or a pry bar, slide
the rubber hanger from the hanger
rod at inside, front of muffler (a
little lube helps). Slide the muf-
fler assembly forward and remove
from slip hangers.
6. Using a reciprocating saw cut
the factory h-pipe assembly inline
with the heat-shield screw sticking
out of the floor on the driver side
and passenger side.
7. Bolt the supplied hanger brack-
ets (H) to the frame on the drivers
side using the supplied self tap-
ping screws (J). Bolt the brackets
in place with the factory holes.
Prongs on the brackets need to
face away from eachother. Then
slide two rubber isolators (G)
onto each hanger so holes align.
8. Slide the JBA muffler/tip as-
semblies (E) and (F) hangers
into the rubber isolators on each
side. Be sure to get the rod into
both isolator’s on the new hang-
ers.
9. Install the new over axle pipes
(C) and (D), slip a 2-1/2” clamp
(H) onto each pipe, then insert
into muffler/tip assemblies (E)
and (F). Slip two 2-1/4” ring
clamps (L) onto the factory cat
assembly and two ring clamps (I)
over the end of the axle pipes.

pipes. Install the supplied band
clamp (K) over the balance tubes
in the center of the H-pipe.

to the ground, and tight to the
converter assembly. Tighten
securely.
12. With the axle pipes (C) and
(D) in the muffler assemblies (E)
and (F) adjust mufflers to be flat,
and the tips an equal distance
from the bumper cover, Then
