Note: This kit includes all the necessary hardware and instructions for a no-weld installation. To properly install this sys­
tem you will need adequate work space and general mechanic’ s tools. Carefully read all of these instructions before
attempting the installation. If in doubt, consult a professional exhaust shop. (Better to do it now than to get stuck half
way through the installation.) And always exercise proper safety precautions. Place vehicle in a location where the floor
is solid and flat and make sure the parking brake is set and the wheels are blocked.
1. Do not attempt to work on the vehicle while the exhaust is hot. Heat causes metal to expand and makes removal
of fasteners difficult at best. Disconnect the battery cables from the battery. Raise the vehicle to obtain adequate
access to the exhaust system. Use large-base jack stands to support the vehicle. Do not rely on the jack! Block
the tires to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the jack stands.
2. Spray WD-40 or some type of penetrating oil on the fasteners attaching the factory exhaust system to the cat­
alytic converter assembly.
3. Unbolt the factory exhaust system from the catalytic converter assembly and remove it from the vehicle. You will
need to slide it out of the factory rubber isolators.
4. Unbolt and remove the exhaust brackets from the rear frame just ahead of the rear axle.
5. Bolt the supplied pinch weld brackets to the rocker seem. See the illustration below for proper placement.
6. Slide the supplied 90… rubber isolator on to the pinch weld bracket.
7. Bolt the new JBA Evol Exhaust system to the catalytic converter assembly using the supplied bolts, washers and
nuts. Slide the exhaust hangers into the 90… rubber isolators.
8. Align the side pipes and then tighten the fasteners. Make sure to check for adequate clearance.
9. Reconnect the battery.
