AT-RPS1000 Installation

This document describes the features and procedures to install the
AT-RPS1000.

Summary of Features

The features of the AT-RPS1000 are as follows:

Provides redundant, load-shared power for up to two gigabit
switches (AT-9108 or AT-8518).

If the primary power supply for the switch fails, the AT-RPS1000
takes over, ensuring uninterrupted network operation.

Contains two active power supplies (each with its own AC power
connector) that share the load with the primary power supply
located in the gigabit switches.

Provides status on power supply and fan operation of the
AT-RPS1000 by way of the gigabit switch’s Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) and command-line interface (CLI).

Information regarding the AT-RPS1000 and fan operation can be
obtained by using the

show switch

command from the gigabit

switch CLI.

Uses a standard 2U, 19-inch rack mount.

Has 110/220 VAC autosensing capability.

Capable of driving 3.3V at 20A and 5V at 10A on each of its DC
connectors.

Supports only Allied Telesyn’s gigabit switches.
