Navigation Key Shortcuts
In Standby mode and with the QWERTY keypad closed, press the
Navigation key Up or Down to launch the corresponding
applications in the pattern shown here.
QWERTY Keypad Shortcuts
In Standby mode and with the QWERTY keypad open, you have
the option of using the arrow keys on the QWERTY keypad itself
to launch applications, as shown here.
Using Quick Search
Portrait Mode
1. In Standby mode, with the phone closed, and with Quick
Search phone setting set to On, press the numeric keys
that correspond to the first few letters of a Contact’s name.

For example, to search for “Sally” you would enter

displays on the screen with the first matching Contact
name highlighted.
3. Select the desired menu option.
