Connecting CableCARD

OCAP is an operating system provided by your Cable company that provides interactive services such as Electronic

Program Guides, Digital Video Recording, Gaming etc. to enhance your TV viewing experience. You must obtain a

CableCARD from a local cable service provider.

For more information, visit the website : www.cablelabs.com

1. Insert the CableCARD into the “CableCARD™” slot and the message “CableCARD™

Inserted” is displayed.

2. Plug the incoming cable into the ANT 1 IN (CABLE) terminal on the back of the TV.

The CableCARD recognizes input signals from ANT 1 IN (CABLE).

3. Within a few minutes after step 2, a message will appear with a phone

number to call to activate the CableCARD. This message contains the

CableCARD ID and Host ID numbers of your TV, which records these

numbers in preparation for activation.

4. After activation, the cable provider will send activation messages to the

CableCARD. During this operation, the message “Updating Channel List”

is displayed. When the “Updating Channel List” process is completed, the

message “Updating Completed” is displayed and your TV will switch to an

active channel.
