Cleaning the
Spray Gun
Components
Start
You will need:
• Soft bristled brush
• Light household oil
• Warm, soapy water if using latex material
• Mineral spirits for oil based material
• Wrench
5. Install gun filter tapered-
end first. Reassemble
spray gun.
4. Pour a few drops of light
household oil inside gun
housing.
2. Pull trigger guard to separate
from filter housing and unscrew
housing using a wrench.
note: Tighten the wrench over the
wrench flats (a).
6. Line up the tabs (b) on the
spray tip with the slots in the
guard assembly.
Slide the tip into the guard.
3. Remove filter from spray gun.
Clean spray tip and filter with soft
bristled brush and appropriate
cleaning solution.
7. Install spray tip and guard
assembly.
