4. The Device Controls
Along with the standard navigation keys, Pocket PC devices feature touch-screen functionality for navigational
ease.
The HTC Touch features an on-screen keyboard. To display the keyboard,
tap the icon in the middle of the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Then
tap the arrow to view your menu options:
• Block Recognizer – The device recognizes one block letter or
number at a time as you write them in with the stylus. Write
letters on the left box and numbers on the right box.
• Keyboard – Displays a traditional QWERTY keyboard for you
to tap on letters with the stylus pen (TeleNav recommends
using this option to type within the application).
• Letter Recognizer – The device recognizes one number or
letter (caps or lower-case) at a time as you write them in with
the stylus. Write capital letters in the left box, lower-case letters
in the middle box, and numbers in the right box.
• Touch Keyboard – Displays a large, compact keyboard so you can enter letters by touching them on-
screen.
