Follow these steps to override the Ink Level Gauge:

if you installed a black ink cartridge

1.

Press and hold down the

Power

button.

2.

While holding down the

Power

button:

• Press the

Cancel

button twelve times

• Press the

Resume

button once.

3.

Release the

Power

button.

if you installed a tri-color ink cartridge

1.

Press and hold down the

Power

button.

2.

While holding down the

Power

button:

• Press the

Cancel

button twelve times.

• Press the

Resume

button three times.

3.

Release the

Power

button.

Always install an ink cartridge before performing an Ink Level Gauge
override.
