Lift the top of the keyboard at an angle, and then pull the keyboard up to remove it from the palm
rest.

NOTE:

Only pull the keyboard up enough to release it from the computer and flip it over onto

the palm rest. The keyboard is connected to the system board via a ribbon cable and a zero
insertion force (ZIF) connector.

8.

Release the ZIF connector (1) by lifting the latch.

9.

Disconnect the keyboard cable by pulling the ribbon cable (2) out of the ZIF connector and then
lift the keyboard (3) up and out of the computer.
