3.4 Upgrading from a Previous Version
This version of 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows does not support a direct upgrade
from a previous version. If you already have a previous version of 3PAR VSS Provider for
Microsoft Windows installed on your system, please uninstall it before proceeding with the
installation. Refer to Installing 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows on page 3.3 for
details once you have unintalled the older version.
WARNING: Make sure that no backup jobs are running in the background prior
to upgrading 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows.
NOTE: If you have previously installed 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows,
you may remove the definition of environment variables TPDSYSNAME and
TPDPWFILE. Both environment variables are no longer valid for the current 3PAR
VSS Provider release.
