To insert a SIM, follow these steps:

1.

Turn off the computer by using the Shut down command.

2.

Close the display.

3.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

4.

Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.

5.

Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you.

6.

Remove the battery (see

Inserting or removing the battery on page 50

).

7.

Remove the service doors (see

Removing the service doors on page 59

).

8.

Insert the SIM into the SIM slot, and gently push the SIM into the slot until it is firmly seated.

NOTE:

See the image below to determine which way the SIM should be inserted into your

computer.

9.

Replace the service doors (see

Replacing the service doors on page 59

).

10.

Insert the battery (see

Inserting or removing the battery on page 50

).

NOTE:

HP Mobile Broadband will be disabled if the battery is not replaced.

11.

Reconnect external power.

12.

Reconnect external devices.

13.

Turn on the computer.

To remove a SIM, press in on the SIM, and then remove it from the slot.

Using GPS (select models only)

Your computer may be equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) device. GPS satellites

deliver location, speed, and direction information to GPS-equipped systems.
