Network Requirements

Home computers
One or more computers running a supported
operating system with a wired or wireless network
connection. For a list of supported operating

The first installation must be on a Windows
computer. Subsequent installations can be on a
Windows or Mac computer.
Internet connection
Broadband connection, such as DSL or cable,
required for remote access functionality.
Internet browser
An Internet browser is required to run the HP
MediaSmart Server software. Choose one from the
following options.

Router
An external Internet broadband router with 100
Mbps (or faster) Ethernet connection to the server
for remote access functionality and wired or
wireless connections to the computers on the
