WARNING
Always disconnect power to the machine before performing maintenance.
Failure to do this may result in serious personal injury.
Schedule
For optimum performance from your machine, follow this maintenance schedule and
refer to any specific instructions given in this section.
Before Each Use, Check and Correct:
• Loose mounting bolts.
• Damaged or worn sanding belt or disc.
• Worn or damaged wires.
• Any other unsafe condition.
After Each Use:
• Clean/vacuum dust buildup on tables and
motor.
After 50 Hours of Use:
• Check and correct V-belt tension, damage, or wear.
Cleaning
Cleaning the Model 50-142 is relatively easy. Vacuum excess sawdust, and wipe off
the remaining dust with a dry cloth. Avoid the use of compressed air near bearings.
Wiping the table clean after every use ensures moisture from wood dust does not
remain on bare metal surfaces. If any resin has built up, use a resin dissolving cleaner
to remove it. After cleaning, treat all unpainted cast iron and steel with a non-staining
lubricant.
All bearings are sealed and permanently lubricated. Avoid the use of compressed air
near bearings. Simply wipe clean with a dry cloth.
