6. Install right hand bracket following steps 1 through 5 on right
hand side. Do not tighten bolts until winch mounting channel,
side plates, and grille tubes are installed.
7. Place vehicle tow hooks into the front section of left hand and
right hand brackets and secure using existing tow hook mounting
hardware removed in step 1 at sides and bottom of tow hook.
Note: Installation of the winch mounting channel and the
side plates must be done simultaneously. See illustration
at right. This will require the assistance of at least one
other person. Lift carefully when lifting mounting channel
into place, it is heavy.
8. Have someone hold the mounting channel (Item #3)
between the left and right mounting brackets (Item #4
and #5). Position left side plate (Item #1) at the out-
side of the mounting bracket. Insert (3) 1.5” Carriage
bolts (Item #7) through side plate (Item #1), mount-
ing bracket (Item #4) and mounting channel (Item
#3). Secure using (3) lockwashers (Item #11) and
(3) nuts (Item #10) loosely.
9. Position right side plate (Item #1) and secure the
same way.
