The winch and fairlead should be installed according to the
Installation Instructions in the Winch Owner’s Manual. Refer
to that manual for proper torque values and other information.

4. Install fairlead to winch channel (item #5) using hardware sup-

plied with winch. The fairlead should be rotated so that the
chamfered corner is at lower right as shown in the detail above.
The fairlead should be installed so that the larger mounting holes
are on top and the mounting bolts go through the top holes of
the fairlead. Tighten these bolts to proper torque value.

Assistance is required for the next steps.

5. Install the winch to the winch channel (item #5) using hardware

supplied with the winch. Tighten the mounting bolts to proper
torque value.

HINT: The winch can be mounted into the winch channel after step
9. This will avoid having to lift the combined weight of the winch
and the channel assembly. Note that the fairlead must be installed
before the winch in any case.

6. Attach the right and left side plates (item #2)

to the winch channel using (3) 1/2-13NC x 1-
3/4” long capscrews (item #11), nuts (item
#14) and lockwashers (item #17).

Do not tighten until told to do so.
