PRE-START PREPARATION

Before starting the generator, check for loose or missing

parts and for any damage which may have occurred during

shipment.

TANK INSTALLATION

1. Install the Clamp Tightening

Knob as shown in the

illustration.

2. Make sure the Clamp

tightening knob is turned out

counter clockwise far enough to accept the metal ring on

the bottom of Propane fuel cylinder.

3. Insert the LPG cylinder carefully

into the intended opening in the

top tank shroud. Make sure the

high pressure hose is in the

intended slot location and will

connect to the propane cylinder

valve easily without bending or

kinking.

4. Tighten the Clamp Knob by turning the knob clockwise

until it fits snugly around the metal ring. The tank should

not lift out or move.

5. Install the plastic coupling (ACME type 1 nut) on the end

of the high pressure hose onto the propane cylinder valve

connection (similar to many BBQ grills). Screw the nut

onto the tank valve until tight.

6. To check for leaks, spray soapy water on the valve and

regulator connections. Slowly open the tank valve. A

leak exists if bubbles appear or grow larger in size or

number.

7. If a leak exists, the condition must be corrected

immediately. DO NOT OPERATE UNIT. Contact

an authorized service center for assistance.

STARTING THE ENGINE

Disconnect all electrical loads from the unit.

1. Check oil level and fuel connections.

2. Open the cylinder fuel valve (A) SLOWLY to allow fuel

to flow to the generator.

3. Adjust choke (B) as necessary.

NOTE: For cold engine starting only, slide the choke

lever to the full choke position.

4. Set the key switch (C) to the “ON” position.

5. Press down on the “Press to Prime” button for 2 seconds

to allow gas to flow.

6. Pull the recoil (D) slowly until resistance is felt, then

rapidly crank twice for gas to fill carburetor.

7. Set the choke lever to the RUN position.

8. MANUAL START: Start the engine by pulling the recoil

(D) slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly to

crank the engine. Repeat if necessary.

9. ELECTRIC START: Turn the key switch (C) to

“START”. Release key switch after the engine starts.

NOTE: If the engine fails to start, press the Primer

button again and repeat the starting instructions.
