Measuring your weight

and starting an analysis

To measure your weight as well as your BMI

and the percentages of body fat, body water,

muscle mass and bone mass (Figure

E).

Caution:

Pregnant women and persons with implanted

devices such as pacemakers must not use

these scales.

Important:

The scales automatically calibrate when

switched off.

To ensure a correct reading, do not move

the scales after switching off.

The scales automatically identify the users

based on their weight (deviations of +/– 5%

possible). You do not need to turn it on. Just

step on the scales with bare feet and stand

still while the display flickers. Distribute your

weight evenly between both legs.

Four different situations can occur as

described here (user detection) with the

measured values display.

The user was identified

The display shows the weight and the User

Profile Number (in the top left corner). After

about 5 seconds, the

I

appears.

Press the right navigation button ► to

display the results of the analysis

.

The scales display each of the following

values for about 2 seconds:

: Body fat in %

M

: Body water in %

N

: Muscle mass in %

O

: Bone mass in %

J

: Weight in kg

These values are automatically repeated

twice.

At the same time, the illuminated segment

lights up:

Green – The values are within the normal

range

Orange – The values are not within the

normal range

The scales always compare the latest

readings with the stored averages of the

most recent 5 measurements. The arrow in

the top right corner of the display indicates

whether the trend of these values is upward

or downward

R

.

The bar scale on the right additionally

indicates the classification:

– Upper range

+ Normal range

++ Optimum range

+ Normal range

– Lower range

The exact values for these classifications are

shown in the tables on the foldout pages at

the end of these operating instructions.

The scales switch off automatically a few

seconds after completing the measurement

process.

The user was not identified correctly

The scales display only the weight and the

The top left corner of the display shows a

question mark

?

The indicated User Profile is your own:

● Press the right navigation button ► to

display the results of the analysis.

or

The indicated User Profile is

not your own

● Press the left navigation button ◄; the

scales display the current User Profile

● Press the

SET button.

● Use the navigation buttons ◄ ► to select

your own User Profile and confirm your

personal data with the

SET button or

enter the values as described in “Entering

your personal data”.
