ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this thermometer does not function properly for any reason, please
replace the battery with a new high quality battery (see “Battery Re-
placement” section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any
number of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery
with a new fresh battery will solve most difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are all indications that
the battery is low and needs to be replaced. To replace the battery,
remove the battery cap ( located on the top of the unit and marked
open) by turning it in the direction of the arrow (counterclockwise).
Replace the exhausted battery with a new Cat. No. 1039 battery.
Make certain that the positive (+) side is facing you. Incorrectly
installed batteries may damage electronics. Replace
the Battery Cap.
