5.7.3.2 Time course scan reading
After all scan parameters have been selected, the instrument
must then be zeroed. Afterward the sample can be analyzed.
1. Insert the zero solution cuvette into the cuvette compartment
and close the cuvette compartment cover.
2. Press Zero.
The blank value is displayed on the screen.
3. Insert the analysis cuvette into the cuvette compartment and
close the cuvette compartment cover.
4. Press Read.
The instrument will begin collecting Time Course data (kinetic
data).
Note: During the reading the Zero and Read keys change to Mark
and Stop.
•
Mark: Press the Mark button to mark the next measurement
point visibly on the screen. This mark is not used by the
instrument, but is available for the user and may indicate a
significant event, such as the addition of a sample or other
reagent. The mark is also shown in the table.
•
Select Stop to stop taking sample readings.
5.7.3.3 Analysis of time course data
After the Time Course data has been collected, the following
manipulations can be done on the graphic data:
The Time Course Program is complete, if
•
the instruments beeps after completion of the overall time
•
the graph is shown full-size,
•
the scaling of the x-axis occurs automatically,
•
the Cursor functions in the vertical navigation bar are
highlighted.
Navigation of a time scan or a time scan analysis
After a time scan has been completed, the time and the
absorbance/transmittance data is displayed as a curve.
Where the cursor is positioned on the curve, the elapsed time up
to this point and the corresponding absorbance are highlighted.
